The Aussie part of the family
I was very exited since finally I got to meet my ‘Aussie’ aunt Madelon and uncle Roel who are living at the other side of the earth. Needless to say that I took the opportunity to steel some cuddles. And it is logical that for their short visit we addapted to the Australian way of living by having a real Aussie BBQ! All their friends and family were there, it was good fun!
Gift from the sister of my father, Ben, Elke and Jesse
I got a very traditional 'Fries' gift from Ben, Franny, Elke and Jesse: a silver rattle. I am honoured and pleased!

New things I have learned

Eating my first solid food: carrot with potota. It was a bit messy but I loved it!

Sending emails.
It is truly amazing, with this little machine in front of me I can communicate to the whole world, one can not start soon enough!

Sucking my thumb...

... sitting hands free! (although it is just for one second) ...

... and reading a book with my friend the beer (from Stephan the Swiss guy).

After all those new learned things I really love to sleep with my cuddle 'Nijntje'.

From Queensway to Koninginnegracht
Of course I do not settle for anything less than royal: in London we lived on Queensway, now we live at the Koninginnegracht (Queens Channel) in Den Haag. And guess what; our new house that is being built is a Catharina-Amalia, named after the oldest daughter of our Dutch heir apparent Willem Alexander and his wife Maxima. One would almost think my parents are royalists…

As you can see, the move was very funny for me with all these boxes with interesting things in it... ... and of course I now have my own room.

Moving day
After everything was packed I said goodbye to our porter Peter.

In the tube I had a last glimpse of the tube map...

... and stealing a glimse from the nabour at the free morning paper 'metro'. Before I knew it we flew back to the Netherlands.

Farewell London! (5 months)
It's time to leave. I had a great time living in London, but I'm also looking forward to seeing my family again and making new friends, so I will leave with mixed feelings.

Before I went I wanted to say goodbye to my girlfriend Charlotte. After a farewell play we took a stroll in the park with mum Jorien.

Bye Bye everyone. It was nice to have met you!

--------- 4 MONTHS ---------
San Sebastian
In the beginning of this year my parents took me to the place I was named after: San Sebastian!
It was the first time to meet my Spanish Family, please allow me to introduce them.
This is Osaba (Uncle) Jon.
Every evening before going to bed I took my bath with Jon. We had great fun... especially osaba Jon!
In the morning when Jon was trying to sleep-in, I made sure he would wake up with a smile!
This is my favourite ant: Izeba (Ant) Maritxu.

This is Abuela (granny) CarmenAnd this is Abuelo (grandpa) Edu
These are my Abuelos (grandparents) Rafael and Pepi
Look at the hands of Rafael… I feel realy secure.

Of course we wandered around in beautiful San Sebastian. This picture is on the Concha: strange thing on Jon’s head though (Jon the moose?)
This is the port of San Sebastian...
... and here in the back you can see the famous Concha of San Sebastian
In Spain, and particularly in the Bask Country, life revolves around food. Daddy was really exited since for the first time in all these years that he visited San Sebastian and Astigarraga in particular, he finally managed to be there at the right time: the Cider Season! So Osaba Jon showed how to ‘catch’ the cider in a traditional Cider House and as you can see, he is an expert!
The typical meal one takes in a cider house is tortilla de bacalao (cot pie) and chuleta a la plancha (cutlet from the beef) with some cheese to finish. Have a look at these chuleta’s being prepared on a traditional charcoal fire: you will not find them anywhere else any better!
But, this was not the only gastronomic event of the holiday. We had many lunches and diners. We did not go to this restaurant but have a look at the name of this restaurant…

... maybe next time.
This is a typical Spanish bar… one can not start soon enough to be educated! Lunch with friends!
Osaba Jon and my daddy prepared a traditional English Roast for the whole family in the sociedad of grandpa Rafael...
... lamb, carrots and peas.

And what better than to relax at the end of the nice lunch with Osaba Jon enjoying a coffee and a copa

Wow, what a great time we've spend!
